Nach einer etwas komplizierteren Einrichtung des Scanners läuft dieser seit 3 Jahren zuverlässig und fix im System. Er wird immer per USB Adapter angebunden und verrichtet souverän seinen Dienst

Just so you know. The first scan is the scanner actually waking up, from the second scan on its when it registers

The product description is misleading as it only mentions the D5100 not being compatible with Square POS but fails to clarify its compatibility with other POS systems. This ambiguity can mislead customers into assuming it would work with other POS systems when it will not. If you are in need of a POS scanner, search elsewhere.

We regret to inform you that all our scanners, including the D5100, are not compatible with the PayPal Zettle app. The D5100 operates by emulating keyboard input, which allows it to scan barcodes into text fields like “Search” or “Add Product.” However, it cannot add items to the cart, as that function requires deeper integration and communication between the scanner and the app.
We recommend checking with the software provider for a list of officially supported barcode scanners.

The scanner itself is fast and accurate—it reads barcodes instantly, even on slightly worn or curved packaging. Battery life is also excellent; we can get through busy shifts without worrying about constant recharging. It probably needs to charge once every 8-10 days.
My only minuscule complaint would be that the directions have a list of barcodes that comes with the scanner to make changes to settings. It would be easier if bluetooth connection or dongle connection had a settings option. not a deal breaker though

This is a wonderful barcode scanner. As a librarian who manages multiple schools, I use this handheld scanner daily. It is lightweight and travels easily. I have purchased additional scanners that make inventory for my assistant much easier than the current wired configuration at my schools. This scanner reads most standard library barcodes in addition to ISBNS. It does not read some of the older barcode configurations. The scanner itself beeps when turning on in addition to beeping when registering the scan. It holds it’s charge for a very long time. For periodic use, it lasts me about two months on a full charge. It can be slcharged my simply connecting it to your computer via the included cable, or using a USB brick charger (not included). It can be used to scan in the wired mode, but I prefer to use the wireless USB.

Works well and was very simple – just plug and play. My only issue with it is that it turns off my CAPS lock – which I need at my job. I cannot keep turning on CAPS every time I scan, it slows me down. I know, it’s just a button, but with what I do I need to be able to input data as fast as possible.
