Top quality splicing scissors long history of manufacturing quality.

I ordered these because I thought I lost my klein snips (i found then m the day these arrive). There was a delay in shipping but got them a day after the expected delivery . I still haven’t used then but will serve well as spare snips for emergencies. They are budget friendly.

Less than 3 months old (household use only). Now, I know that this is the cheap version of a Klein tool (Heritage brand) but really? Made in USA.
As a former Telecom service tech I’ve used Klein tools for years and NEVER once did this happen.
My recommendation? Pay $10 more for the real deal and hope for the best.

The snips are great. But they are not Klein Tools. They are made by a subsidiary of Klein Tools called American Heritage. Nowhere in the description does it say this but nowhere on the scissors or packaging is there any mention of Klein Tools. I bought these thinking they were a version of a comparably priced pair of Klein Tools scissors. Would not have bought them. I felt like this was deceptive but not worth the return process.

Being designed for electrical does not mean only for “work”. Being a master electrician I use them for most of my cutting and stripping needs, more at home or leisure than on the work site. They are sturdy, adjustable, and comfortable when I use them.

The Klein Tools 100CS Electrician Scissors are not just a tool—they’re a power move. Before these came into my life, I was battling wires like a clueless amateur, but now I slice through cables with the precision of a pro. These scissors make quick work of even the toughest materials, and the notched blades are an absolute dream for stripping wire. They’re sturdy, sharp, and fit comfortably in your hand, making every cut feel like you’re wielding the Excalibur of electrician tools. If you want to stop wrestling with wires and start conquering them, these are the only scissors you’ll ever need. A true game-changer for anyone who works with wires!

Originally founded in 1952 under the name Expert Cutlery, this manufacturer of scissors and shears initially employed five men who turned out approximately 600 pair of shears per week. About 28 different styles of shears were manufactured, produced by large grinding wheels with a gas-heated lead pot used for the heat-treating process.
The Company has not only manufactured the same high quality barber shears since 1952, but has grown to become the largest U.S. manufacturer of hot-forged scissors and shears for a wide variety of markets including textiles, sewing, poultry, electronics, fiber optics and pet grooming.
The Expert Cutlery name was changed to Heritage Cutlery in 1978. The company continued to grow and invest in state of the art equipment, such as CNC (computer numerical control) machine grinders and electronically controlled salt furnaces for heat-treating.
In September 2007, Heritage Cutlery was acquired by and began operating under the name Klein Cutlery, LLC. Klein Cutlery is an affiliate of Klein Tools, Inc.

My guess is Klein Tools had all of its scissors made by Expert Cutlery until 1978, then by Heritage Cutlery until 2007 when they purchased the operation as part of Klein Cutlery.

This pair of scissors really cuts through many things, most importantly is that it cuts well both at the base and the tip of the scissors which is not the case for many (especially at the tip). It was well reviewed on a youtube vid so I decided to try it. The two notches for stripping small cables are great if you tinker with SBCs and simple electronics etc.

I needed an extra set of scissors and these where perfect. They are basically the same as my other pair. I keep one in a toolbox, and the other with my crimper in a case. They are sharp, comfortable, durable, and perform the functions I need them too. I’d buy another set tomorrow if mine went missing.

Love these scissors. Best thing for an electrician or control tech.
