This is an excellent accompliment to my Fluke Cable IQ, On my latest project it has proved invaluable

This is not as capable as the LinkRunner but for someone who doesn’t use it daily or even weekly, it does what it need for basic testing. If you are a power user and do lots of testing go for the LinkRunner.
It does cable tests, flash port, and provides switch port info and testing. It can even email you the results of the test. That is pretty much everything it does.
It also does not work the with the Wireview/WireMapper. Hopefully, that is something they will add in the future.

This by far one of the best testers on the market. Once it is linked to a phone or tablet, it becomes a powerhouse. I just wish it was recchargable.

This device is a real life saver and it saves time too. I am able to get my ports without confusion and figure out the VLAN.

Guter kleiner Helfer,

It’s a simple setup, requires a wireless phone or PC to get the web page for results but has an impressive readout. Gives VLAN, switch data, port info, switch name, VLAN and dhcp info for the port and switch. Less expensive than a fluke, and perfect for port testing.

This device has saved countless amounts of time troubleshooting and I didn’t have to spend $4000 dollars!!

Great product for troubleshooting office network environments. Can hand to a tech and with very little setup they can run in to an office and plug in to confirm where an issue with the network could be. The email reports are particularly useful. They are expensive, but an excellent tool for improving productivity of engineers out in the field checking copper network taps.

If you do anything with computer networking, you need this. Starting with the $10 tester that basically just makes sure the pins are lining up, this may seem like a big jump, but it’s really helped me save time and understand what’s wrong rather than just guess and deduce. First off, it’s well built. I throw it in my tool bag, laptop bag, it falls, no problem. It’s compact and easy to have with you all the time. If you’re doing the quick test xjust plug it in, and it’ll light up for dhcp, switch connection, router connection and finally internet. But if you connect to its wifi signal, your phone browser becomes the interface to access more tools! The most important is cable tester that can tell you which pins are working and the distance to where they are broken. AND it logs into your account online and sends reports as it gets internet connected for each test which you can append notes, etc. If you do big cabling jobs, you should probably get something above this. But for the network tester on the go, this thing has proven itself super useful

Nice toy to diagnose network issues. Kind of pricey, but its the real deal. It gives you enough specifics to figure out what is wrong, or at least enough ammunition to go back at the network department to show them that they are screwing up. I like it.
