Worked great for what we needed it for, worked on a company computer that had USB restrictions for storage, and also didn’t need any drivers to work. Main use for us was to scan barcodes to input those related numbers into an excel spreadsheet. if you need something for relatively simple data entry this is a great product for the cost.

Simple to use.
I used this to get a list of the item bar codes and then fed these into an api to automate the description processing and info retrieval for cataloging.
Don’t expect it to have accompanying software though, that’s something way different.

Works great. Nothing to setup, just plug in and start scanning. I was having an issue with the scanner adding a Return after each scan but contacted support via email and got very good help in resolving this. Highly recommend this product!

We run a small private lending library with 85 families and 12,000 books. All of our books have LibraryThing barcodes and we use Libib software. (We used to use LibraryThing software.) We have purchased 6 scanners over the last three years trying to find the best one for us. This scanner is a workhorse. It is fast, accurate, and scans any barcodes that we throw at it. And, it is well constructed. We do not ever use it in the stand, so it does get knocked onto the floor periodically and is no worse for wear. And, we love the sound that it makes – it is loud enough to hear it over the din of library noise but not so loud that it drives us nuts. Of all of the scanners that we have purchased, we have loved this one best and have purchased it three times so that we can have multiple people working at the same time.
