I recently got my hands on the Panasonic ER430K Nose, Ear, and Facial Hair Trimmer, and it’s been a revelation in my grooming routine. This wet/dry trimmer, equipped with a vacuum cleaning system, is a standout product for anyone looking to manage facial hair with ease and precision.

I received the trimmer today. It came in an easy cardboard container to open, and what you get is the trimmer, and a black felt bag for I guess if you travel, or if you choose to store it in the bag when at home. You also need to have a AA battery to insert. In order to insert the battery, the instructions says to turn counterclockwise and match the line A with B, and pull to open. Course, with me being literal, I tried to find the letter A and B to match it up but couldn’t. There is no A or B. A is a not so noticeable line on the bottom “firm” part of the trimmer. It’s on the little “spoke” next to the screw (but you don’t unscrew it). B is the battery cap that has the Model Number, and on the cap, is an arrow that points to a “dot”. The “dot” is B, so you line up the DOT with the line on the spoke, and then you pull. Doing a few times you don’t even need to look. And it is hard to see so make sure you have some light and/reading glasses (if you need it) but again, once you do it one time, it’s so easy to remove and replace the battery.

Also, reading the instructions, to perform maintenance on it, you need to remove 5 separate things (including the cover) sot hat you can clean the outer blade and inner blade, and filter. The last item is the housing for the outer blade. Besides blowing to remove the hair, it says to use a soft tissue and gently wipe the blades and it says it can be washed in water. Course I don’t know if its totally waterproof so I would take out the battery just in case if you were to go that route. It also says if used once a week, for 1 min, the blade should last 3 years.

If you’re like me, I was a little nervous about taking each item apart to clean as I think I might not be able to put them together again. I tried couple of times and again, after a while, it should be easy to maintain. The instructions are pretty clear on how the separate pieces.

So anyways, the first time I used it to remove the nose hair, I gotta say, it sure tickled. Not sure if I will ever get use to the feeling vs using scissors, but like anything, eventually you’ll get use to it….maybe LOL It seems to be made good quality wise so if anything changes, I’ll do an update.

I bought this in November 2018 and it worked perfectly until I dropped it this morning. I disassembled and cleaned it after every use, letting the parts dry before reassembly. The blades remained sharp and rust-free. Cutting was smooth, no pulling of hair. The tip is small enough to allow precision use even with eyebrows (where you definitely don’t want to mess up).

I’m back here to buy another one and decided to write this quick review as a memorial to the one I dropped. Gone too soon, would have lasted at least a few more years if not for my clumsiness.
