The SAMSUNG The Frame 55 Inch TV is an elegant and innovative addition to any living space, seamlessly blending art and technology. Here are my thoughts after using it for a few weeks:

Design and Display:

The Frame’s design is absolutely stunning. When not in use, it displays beautiful artwork, transforming your TV into a piece of art. The display quality is excellent, offering vibrant colors and deep blacks, which makes both art and content truly pop.

Performance:

The TV’s performance is generally impressive. It offers a smooth viewing experience with great picture quality. However, I did encounter some issues with the built-in apps.

App Performance:

Unfortunately, the built-in apps can be quite slow. Navigating through them isn’t as smooth as I’d like, and loading times can be frustrating. This is the main reason I’ve docked a star from my rating.

My Solution:

To bypass the app performance issues, I’ve started using my Amazon Fire TV Stick. This has significantly improved my experience, as the Fire TV interface is snappier and more responsive. I recommend this workaround if you encounter similar issues.

Sound Quality:

The sound quality is decent, but as with most flat-screen TVs, it could benefit from a soundbar for a more immersive audio experience.

Final Thoughts:

Despite the app performance hiccups, I’m very pleased with the SAMSUNG The Frame 55 Inch. It’s a beautiful TV that offers a unique blend of art and entertainment. With the addition of a Fire TV Stick, it’s become a central piece in my living room. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a TV that’s not just functional, but also a statement piece.

Verdict: Highly recommended, but consider using an external streaming device for a better app experience

I’ve got to say, I’m impressed. I was contemplating the Frame or the HiSense Canvas and went with the Samsung. Glad I made that choice (though it was more expensive). Let me give you the positives with one small negative:

1. I watched Mike Prez’ YouTube video “Best OLD and QLED Picture and Art Settings for 2024 Samsung…” and it was a great starting point for initial picture settings. Make sure you give it a watch because some of my pictures look extremely like real art on the wall.

2. The set-up was straightforward and worked well. The TV guides you through a step-by-step process that made everything extremely easy.

3. The one-wire control is a real cool idea if you have the space for the control box. I dropped the wire behind the TV (which was a little bit of a process) and have it coming out the bottom of the wall where the control box sits on a desk. I love the ability to plug other accessories directly into the control box and it just works. Great idea.

4. Finding places on the web to download art work and uploading it using the Samsung SmartThings App is very easy. I put all of my artwork on Google Drive and then just add it to the TV using the app. The transfer takes a bit of time depending on the number of pictures you have, but it does eventually work.

5. The only negative I had was the lack of instruction that the TV did not have a plastic protective coating upon receipt. It should. I think it’s lazy to not include a protective plastic especially needed during installation. Once I finally got the TV on the wall (yes, I have 4 holes below the “real” ones), the screen was visibly dirty. It all came clean with a dry cloth, but I tried to peel back a plastic that doesn’t exist in an extreme top corner.

Overall, great product and well worth the money.

Grate Tv

Superior resolution, definition, brightness make this tv easy to watch – certainly easy to set up and enjoy.
The art display is a huge added bonus that places this tv into a whole additional class of use!
